Registered Nurse (RN) - Group Home New

A prominent healthcare provider in Brooklyn, NY, is currently seeking a Registered Nurse to join their team. This role is essential in supporting the health and well-being of individuals in a residential facility setting.

About the Opportunity:

• Hybrid or Remote: Not applicable
• Shift: On-call required
• Schedule: Tuesday through Saturday
• Hours: 7-8 hour shifts
• Setting: Residential Facility

Responsibilities:

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for:

• Coordinating and following through on health care services for assigned program(s)
• Arranging medical services and issuing referrals
• Providing follow-up on medical issues
• Conducting staff training in medical administration and infection control
• Handling control of communicable diseases and implementing preventive measures

Qualifications:

• 0+ years of nursing experience (new grads welcome)
• Graduate of an accredited program of professional nursing
• License and current registration as a Registered Nurse in New York State
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Interpersonal skills to interact with individuals, families, and staff
• Maintain confidentiality
• Knowledge of equipment used by individuals receiving services
• Willingness to work at various program sites in the Bronx

Desired Skills:

• Experience in community-based health services for individuals with developmental disabilities
• CPR certification
• Experience with OPWDD, Group Home, IDD/DD
• Interpersonal skills
