Urgent Hiring for RN Med/Surg at one of the top hospitals in New York, NY.

Job Title: RN – Med/Surg

Job Location: New York, NY 10037

Shift: Days / Nights (rotating weekends required)

Pay: $2300 - $2400 weekly gross (Travel)

Department: Medical/Surgical

Contract: 3 months (possible extension)

Experience Requirement

• At least 2 years of recent acute Med/Surg experience (required)

Required

• New York State RN license (primary‐source verified)
• AHA BLS
• AHA ACLS
• Minimum 2 years Med/Surg experience in a large acute‑care hospital within the past year
• Physical assessment, medication administration, wound care/infection control, IV therapy, post‑op care, patient education, telemetry monitoring

Preferred

• EPIC EMR experience

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution
• Completion of Med/Surg self‑assessment skills checklist and specialty exam

Duties

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals
• Provide direct bedside care to pre‑ and post‑surgery patients
• Prepare, administer, and document medications
• Change dressings, insert catheters, start IVs, and adjust specialized equipment
• Monitor vital signs; report adverse reactions promptly
• Collaborate on discharge planning; educate patients and families on procedures and post‑operative care
• Maintain and update patient files, charts, and records in accordance with best practices and protocols.
