Emergency Room Nurse

Job Summary:

Seeking experienced Emergency Department RNs to provide direct, high-acuity patient care in a dynamic trauma-focused setting. The ideal candidate demonstrates clinical expertise, critical thinking, and strong leadership in coordinating care in a multidisciplinary team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Direct Care & Assessment

• Perform comprehensive assessments and develop, implement, and evaluate care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
• Deliver evidence-based nursing care that aligns with medical protocols and age-specific considerations.
• Monitor patient responses and adjust interventions accordingly.

Clinical Coordination

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, timely, and effective patient care.
• Prioritize interventions and facilitate appropriate transitions in care.
• Supervise and delegate care to licensed and unlicensed personnel within scope.

Leadership & Support

• Function as a resource to peers and less experienced staff.
• Float to other units and assist with coverage as needed.
• Take on charge responsibilities as delegated.

Professional Development

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and staff education.
• Engage in ongoing professional learning and pursuit of advanced certifications or degrees.
• Attend meetings, trainings, and contribute to research or pilot projects as appropriate.

✅ Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
• Experience: 2–3 years in an Emergency Department within a Level I or Level II trauma environment
• Certifications (Required):
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• AHA Stroke Certification
• Clinical Competencies:
• Ventilator and tracheostomy care
• Gastrostomy tube management
• Titration of critical medications

Preferred: Board Certification in Emergency Nursing or related specialty
