Job Overview

The Coordinator Logistics RN coordinates bed management functions. Promotes physician and patient satisfaction. Ensures accuracy of automated bed board and pre admit lists.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing
  • Minimum of 3-5 year s acute nursing experience with one year of nursing department experience
  • Successful completion of all Orientation Programs

Preferred

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing

Certifications And Licenses Required

  • Current Registered Nurse License in the state of New Jersey
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
  • Certifications as required by law, stature and/or regulation for area or specialization

Scheduling Requirements

  • Full-Time
  • Night shift
  • 37.5 hours weekly
  • 7p - 7a
  • Every other weekend and holidays

Essential Functions

Circulates through hospital - constantly evaluating all needs for patient placement. Acts as contact for decisions related to bed management during the shift of assignment. Including EC closures, bed meetings, and critical bed status decisions. Deliver excellent customer service by exhibiting courtesy, direction, image, introduction, dignity, comfort, information, response, confidentiality and teamwork as defined in the customer service standards. Participate in projects, data collection, and other activities designed to enhance bed operations. Facilitates communication and coordination intra-hospital, interacting in a respectful manner that takes into account special needs of age-related needs. Collaborates with nursing to move patients to higher/lower levels of care. Maintains and communicates a global picture of hospital capacity at all times. Maintains patient throughput - continually evaluating placement progress. Establishes and directs plan for placement of all admissions and transfers, concurrently and prospectively.
